Weerribben-Wieden National Park: dragonflies and damselflies abound

A visit to the Weerribben-Wieden National Park causes an overdose of dragonflies and damselflies. The numbers and types that you see, without making any effort, are amazing.

It remains a challenge, but variation in species and vegetation help enormously in making macro photos. The small skimmer dragonflies or darters are my favorite species for now. They usually are a bit easier to photograph and the modest dimensions make them, such as damselflies, very suitable for macro photography.
