Macro photography: small adjustments, big consequences

Due to the limited depth of field in macro photography, focusing on different parts of the subject leads to completely different results. Blurry parts can be ‘quiet’ or play a more active role. You can separate the subject from the background, or let it blend in.

The position of the camera is easily changed, allowing variations in the composition to be made quickly. A LED lamp or a reflection screen allow for even more possibilities. When photographing in this way I can become completely immersed in a different world. I also often lose sense of time, it’s a particularly relaxing discipline.
